Welcome to Pointman Ministries of Australia
Every Vietnam Veteran and soldier knows what a 'Pointman' is, but, for the benefit of the the reader who does not know, here is a quick explanation. It is a US military term used during an army patrol, or infantry operation. In the Australian Army the term 'Forward Scout' is used for the same task.
The Pointman, or Forward Scout's purpose, is to serve as the 'eyes and ears' for his section, platoon, or unit which follows him into enemy territory. He seeks out likely enemy ambush sites, booby traps, and anything else that would endanger or entrap his following companions.
Therefore, Pointman Ministries has been designed to do the same today for all Veterans through the healing power of the Holy Spirit, the innerent Word of God, and the cleansing Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a ministry run by Veterans for Veterans which provides individual and group counselling, literature, seminars and conferences to help bring aid and comfort to their brothers in arms and their loved ones suffering the effects of their war service.
Pointman has but one guarantee: if you turn your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ, you will find comfort and a way to begin to heal and lessen the wounds of war. That does not mean to say that 'everything in the garden will be rosy', or that all your problems will be solved, or that you will live happily ever after. What it does mean is that you will no longer be alone and left to try to battle through the storms of life, which seem to overtake us all at times.
The information provided here has been of great help to many, from any theatre of war and conflict, who have visited this site. They say that the information it contains bought them insight, understanding, and healing, not only for the Veteran, but their loved ones too.

Ode to the Fallen
"They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget".
