A warm Aussie G'day! Reading the information on this site may puzzle some as to why we would publish this type of information? Well, there are two extremely valid reasons for us doing so.

Firstly, we know from experience that the information you will find at this site can literally save your life; or the life of a family member; someone you currently know, or that of someone you will come into contact with in the future. It is our desire is to equip you to help prevent and stop what we call spiritual suicides!

Secondly, if you are already involved in, or being confronted with a teaching or practice that is mentioned on this site, then the information presented could set you free from a present or future bondage that perhaps is not even evident to you at this point in time.

The information offered is done so in a genuine spirit of love and concern as many thousands have proven for themselves. It is not offered as a product of any bigotry, hatred, intolerance, or even animosity towards any particular person or group named.

Should you take exception to anything we present, then we would simply encourage you to make the time to check out whatever that may be, for yourself. We even challenge you to prove us wrong! So...

Who are we? Mandate Ministries had its beginnings in 1978, soon after Fred and Barbara Grigg finally got the courage to 'resign' from their long involvement with the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, commonly known as Jehovah's Witnesses (JW's). (Please note that one cannot 'resign' from the JW's as all who leave and subsequently join a Christian church, are immediately and publicly excommunicated, or 'disfellowshipped' as the JW's call it. Once disfellowshipped you will be 'shunned' and not to be spoken to by them from that time on!)

Both Fred and Barbara became involved with the JW's during what were very demanding and stressful times in 1968. They succumbed to the JW's unique methodology, teachings and practice. They, along with their children were held spiritually captive - one could say, in a prison without bars - for 10 years!

The invaluable insights they gained from being on the 'inside' of what the JW's term 'The New World Order' were the very things that eventually launched their ministry. Shortly after leaving the JW's they found that they were soon in demand to assist others who were facing similar problems with their loved ones. From their success in helping others, and as their work became more widely known, problems caused by other extreme religious groups, began to be incorporated into their expertise. Where they could not initially answer the hard questions regarding a particular teaching, or group - they researched and found the answers for them!

Prior to these pages being placed on the Internet, the ministry was already international, having for many years made gradual input into more than 35 different countries through publishing a monthly newsletter titled, 'The Gospel Truth' (now discontinued and replaced by this website!). Over many years they have conducted extensive speaking tours throughout Australia, the Pacific Islands and the USA.

Fred has been a visiting lecturer in several mainline Bible Colleges in Australia and the USA. Those colleges have credibility with all recognised and accepted denominations, police units, social welfare agencies and the media.

Fred earned a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree from Jubilee International Theological College (he majored in Christian Apologetics [a defence of the Christian faith]) in 1988. His thesis was entitled, "On the Fringe". It was a 'closer look' at more than 50 dangerous religious groups then operating in Australia and their aberrant teachings and practices - many were simply 'local branches' of 'parent groups' based overseas. Most of the groups he documented were so-called 'Bible based' groups who claimed to be "Christian" but were in fact not! Many of them were functioning openly within the periphery of Christianity - undetected by most as being dangerous to one's spiritual well-being, financial wealth and health.

In July 2006, after almost two years of study and research, Fred was awarded a Doctorate of Divinity Degree by the Masters Graduate School of Divinity, Indiana, USA.

The information provided on this site is a product of Fred and Barbara's extensive, comprehensive and on-going Bible study, associated research, endearvours and experience over many years.
