A warm Aussie G'day! The information on this site may tend to puzzle some, who wonder why we would publish this type of information? Well, it's becasue we believe that there are three extremely valid reasons for us doing so.

Introduction

Firstly, we know from personal experience that the information you will find at this site can literally save your life; or the life of a family member; a relative, someone you know, or someone you will come into contact with in the future. It is our desire is to equip you to help prevent and stop what we call 'spiritual suicides'!

Seondly, if you are already involved in, or being confronted with a teaching or practice that is mentioned on this site, then the information presented could set you free from a present bondage, or perhaps the possibility of a future bondage that is not evident to you at this point in time?

Thirdly, we believe we have an obligation, or a mandate, to publish information on the beliefs and practices of world religions, world political moves resulting from religious, or atheistic influences, and events that perhaps most people in society are never exposed to. This is done in order to bring insights and understanding  that our sometimes glossed over, even hidden, by our biassed media which shapes the news, or does not report it. In other words, we seek to expose the truth which is often never told and never known!

The information offered is done so in a genuine spirit of love and concern, although you may inititially disagree with that? Be encouraged that there are many thousands around the world who have proven for themselves that what is offered is not offered as a product of any bigotry, hatred, intolerance, or even animosity, towards any particular person or group that's been named.

Should the reader take exception to anything that is presented, we simply encourage you to make the time to check out whatever it is that disturbs you, for yourself. We even challenge you, even dare you to prove what we've presented is wrong, or false! So, you may ask...

Who are we?

Mandate Ministries began in 1978. It was in that year that Fred and Barbara Grigg finally gained the courage to 'resign' from their long involvement over many years with the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, commonly known as Jehovah's Witnesses (JW's). It has to be said, that one cannot simply 'resign' from the JW's!  If one who has become a "Kingdom Publisher" by being baptised in water by the Jw's, and then at a later date, decide to leave and subsequently join a Christian church, they are immediately and publicly excommunicated, or 'disfellowshipped' as it is called, for "Apostasy"! A 'disfellowshipped' person will be 'shunned' and will not be spoken to by the JW's from that time onward!

Turbulent Times

Fred and Barbara, were among thousands of others worldwide, who became involved with the JW's during what were very demanding and stressful times in the years leading up to 1968.  The 25 years from from 1939 - 1964 were the stressful and uncertain times of  WWII, with the Atomic Bomb threat growing and permeating everything; then the UN backed Korean War; the fear generating from the Cold War period and finally the long and controversial Vietnam War! It was at the height of Fred's involvement in the SE Asian Wars, with the future looking glib and seeming impossible, when they succumbed to what proved in time to be the false hope held out to them by the JW's unique methodology, teachings and practice. They, along with their children were held 'spiritually captive' - one could say, they were in a prison without bars - for a period of 10 years!

However, the invaluable insights which they gained from being on the 'inside' of what the JW's term 'The New World Order' were the very things that eventually launched their ministry. Shortly after leaving the JW's they found that they were soon in demand to assist others who were facing similar problems themselves, or with their loved ones becoming involved. From their initial success in helping thoe who were troubled by the JW's, and as their work became more widely known, problems created by other extreme religious groups, began to be incorporated into their expertise. Where they could not initially answer the hard questions regarding a particular teaching, or group - they researched, investigated and found the answers that people needed!

Internet Ministry

Prior to these pages being placed on the Internet, the ministry had already become International. For many years, Mandate Ministreis made progressive input into more than 35 countries through publishing their monthly newsletter titled, 'The Gospel Truth' [now discontinued and replaced by this Site]. Over the years they've had the privilege of conducting speaking tours throughout Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and the USA. Fred has served as a regular visiting lecturer in several mainline denominational Bible Colleges in Australia and the USA. Those colleges and their respective denominations have credibility with with the wider Body of Christ, governments, police units, social welfare agencies and the print and electronic media.

Formal Studies

Fred earned his Bachelor of Religious Education Degree [BR.Ed] from Jubilee International Theological College  in 1988 [majoring in Christian Apologetics - which is a 'defence of the Christian faith']. His thesis, "On the Fringe" took a closer look at numerous so-called 'Bible based' religious groups functioning in Australia. Many of the groups reviewed were simply 'a local branch' of a  'parent group'  who had their origin in other countries. In most cases, discerning Christians would have already regarded the groups and teachings named herein as being "in error",  in many cases they did not know why?  However, because many of the groups and practices were functioning openly, even within the periphery of Christianity, they went undetected by most. People really need to know what is dangerous to one's spiritual well-being, financial wealth and invariably their physical health.

After many years of  study, research and ministry, in 2006, Fred completed and was granted his Doctorate of Divinity Degree [D.D.] from Masters International School of Divinity, Indiana, USA. He is a qualified journalist, author and Chrisitan Apologist. Several of his books are available through Koorong Books Pty Ltd (AUS).

The information provided on this site is a product of not only Fred and Barbara's extensive, comprehensive on-going Bible studies, associated research, and experience over many years, but also much contributed by others - to whom we are deeply indebted.

In fairness to the reader you MUST make the time to read through the appropriate Help Topics first, so that you can understand where we are coming from in our reasoning and logic. If you are tempted to go straight to a particular group listed, which you may be interested in, you will find yourself becoming very upset that we have dared to list that group! You may, as many have done in the past, waste your time and ours by writing and sending to us what we have come to call 'hate mail'! Such mail reveals to us that you have not taken the foregoing advice and action and that you do not understand why we listed said group here in the first place!
