Welcome to Pointman Ministries of Australia
Who are we and what do we do?
Every Vietnam Veteran knows what a 'pointman' is, but, for the benefit of the the reader who does not know what the term means, here is a quick explanation. It is a US military term used during an army patrol, or infantry operation for the 'point man' is the one who walks several metres out in front of everyone else (in the Australian Army the term 'Forward Scout' is used). His purpose is to serve as the eyes and ears for the platoon or unit following him through suspected enemy territory. He seeks out likely enemy ambush sites, booby traps and anything else that would endanger or entrap his trailing companions.
Therefore, Point Man has been designed to do the same today for all Veterans through the healing power of the Holy Spirit, the innerent Word of God and the cleansing Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a ministry run by Veterans for Veterans that provides individual and group counselling, literature, seminars and conferences to help bring aid and comfort to their brothers in arms.
Point Man has but one guarantee: if you turn your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ, you will find comfort and a way to begin to heal and lessen the wounds of war. That does not mean to say that 'every thing in the garden will be rosy', or that all your problems will be solved and that you will live happily everafter. What it does mean is that you will no longer be all alone to try to battle through the storms of life which affect us all.
The information provided here has been of great help to many who have visited this site in the past. It has brought insight, understanding and healing for Veterans, their wives and families from any theatre of war and conflict.

Ode to the Fallen
"They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget".
